If you’ve been following along on stories for awhile, you know that I’ve been planning to do a full blog post on my Emsculpt experience at Skinspirit. When they reached out to me, I was so excited to try out Coolsculpting & Emsculpt. Because Coolsculpting takes longer to see results, I’ll be focusing on my Emsculpt progress in this post.

What is Emsculpt?

Emsculpt is the first and only FDA-cleared treatment that builds muscle mass, enhances muscle definition, improves core strength. It’s been clinically tested in seven peer-reviewed studies to tone and build muscle in the body. It’s more for people who are already pretty lean, but want muscle definition.

How does it work?

During an Emsculpt treatment, an applicator is placed on either the abdomen or buttocks.
Using high-intensity focused electromagnetic pulses, Emsculpt causes supramaximal contractions not normally achievable through voluntary muscle action — equivalent to 20,000 situps or squats in just 30 minutes. If you want to watch what it’s like, check out my Skinspirit highlights here. In case you are wondering if it is a painful treatment (like coolsculpting was for me), it isn’t at all. I would describe the sensation as a pulling feeling that gets more intense over time.

What’s the difference between emsculpt and coolsculpting?

Emsculpt is more for your muscles, coolsculpting is more for targeting your fat cells. In my opinion, if you are already pretty lean, but have no muscle definition, emsculpt would be most effective for you. I definitely feel like I can start to see and feel a difference with the Emsculpt sessions. I’m starting to see muscle definition that I’ve never seen before.

How much does it cost?

It’s $1000 per treatment, but if you buy a package of 4 treatments, the price goes down to 800/treatment. Also if you mention my name, you’ll receive 15% or $50 off your first treatment.

Before & After’s (20 days after the 6th session)

During my first consultation, my aesthetician Kristine recommended I do 6 Emsculpt sessions on my abdomen. The full effect of your results can then be seen approximately 30-60 days after your last session. This is my progress only after 20 days! I’m definitely already seeing more ab definition especially when I take photos in a bikini or crop top. I also notice that my ab muscles feel stronger than before. Overall, I do think emsculpt actually works and am actually super impressed by the difference only after 20 days.

I had a great experience with Kristine!!! She’s the best. I would definitely do emsculpt again. At Skinspirit, I really felt that I was in good hands. The biggest thing for me is that they really educate, and set expectations very well. I always feel at ease every time I go to Skinspirit. I hope this blog post was helpful for you in deciding if you want to try out emsculpt, and if you have any more questions or want to stay updated with my results, feel free to follow me @ephemeralfox.
